Dr. Clair Francomanowill present a case study in Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, illustrating how to better engage patients in research. This seminar will be held in C2860 at the College of Medicine or in 116 Henderson at University Park. Dr. Francomano, director of Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation Center for Clinical Care and Research, Harvey Institute of Human Genetics, Greater Baltimore Medical Center, has been involved in the care of patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome throughout her career. While at the National Institutes of Health, she spear-headed a longitudinal study on the natural history of EDS that ran for over 20 years. She served on the steering committee for the 2016 International Symposium on Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and as chair of the Committee on Classical Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome for the symposium.
