-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To make an appointment*:

On-line:  Go to http://www.redcrossblood.org  and enter zip code 16802 in the 'Find a Blood Drive' field on the upper right.   A list of blood drives in our area will come up; choose 'Millennium Science Complex' on February 13.  Click to schedule an appointment on the left;  you will need to create a username and password the first time.  For subsequent donations, you will be able to log in to your own page and go from there.   Click the time you want for your appointment, and you will receive a confirming email.  You are going to save a life!

Phone or e-mail:  Contact the blood drive coordinator  (Joanne Aller, 814-865-2896, jam28@psu.edu) to make the appointment for you.

-------------------------

Every 2 seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood--Make your appointment today to give blood at the OVPR Institutes Blood Drive!  See information above on how to schedule your appointment using the app, on line, or call the drive coordinator.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*Appointments are strongly encouraged--here is why:  Staffing for the drive is based on how many appointments are made prior to the drive, so while walk-ins will be accommodated, we are more likely to stay on schedule if the majority of donors have appointments.

------------------------------------------------

Try Rapid Pass to shorten your waiting time on the day of donation--just answer the questions on line prior to your donation time, print the pass at the end of the process or e-mail it to yourself and bring to the registration desk at the time of donation.  Here's how:

  1. Visit redcrossblood.org/RapidPass
  2. Read the information
  3. Answer the questions
  4. Print the pass or email it to themselves

NOTE:  Rapid Pass must be done on the day of your donation (cannot be completed  prior to that date to be valid).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To donate blood you must be at least 16 years old, weigh 110 lbs. and be in good health.

To make a Power Red Cell donation, certain other height and weight criteria must also be met; see link for eligibility questions below.
