Children's Health Advocacy Dinner Flyer
The College of Medicine (COM) will once again be hosting Pediatrics Research Day. This day is an opportunity to showcase ongoing research on children's health issues and to identify new collaborations that will help produce tomorrow's breakthroughs.
All Penn State researchers, physicians, residents, staff, and students who contribute to the mission of advancing pediatric research or who feel that their research may have the potential to do so are invited to submit abstracts of new work or work presented at national meetings in the past 2 years and a statement of research interests to be included in the Research Day abstract book. Accepted abstracts will be presented in either poster or lecture format. Posters presented recently at local or national meetings are suitable for presentation. Poster abstracts may be submitted via the Pediatric Research Day Website. Abstracts must be received no later than February 15, 2008.
Pediatric Research Day is also a fantastic networking opportunity, and we strongly encourage submissions from any Penn State campus as long as the work relates to understanding or improving the care we deliver to the pediatric population. Basic Science and Clinical Abstracts are equally encouraged. Nurses, medical students, and graduate students are also encouraged to contribute.
The CYFC is very interested in supporting efforts that bring together UP and Hershey researchers. Therefore, the CYFC will pay for the cost poster production at the Engineering Copy Center. Moreover, if a sufficient number (10-15+) of UP researchers are interested in attending, we will make arrangements for transportation to and from the COM.
