Center Activities
- Original policy studies on social/health sciences/environmental issues
- Transformation of completed research studies into policy reports and briefs
- Meetings/facilitated groups on policy topics
- Inclusion of other research consortia at Penn State in social/health policy/environment activities via regular meetings about current, upcoming opportunities
- Guidelines for public information functions re policy report/issue briefs distribution and publicity
- Identification of policy-related resources within and external to Penn State and development of web site through which to share resources, create and sustain network, etc.
- Identification and development of communication mechanisms: listserves, blogs, web pages, etc.
- Development of database focused on faculty policy strengths at Penn State--voluntary submission of/invitations to submit this information (as re PSIE, CYFC, etc.)
- Speakers series/workshops/brown bags around identified topics/current topical areas not only policy topics, but about successful efforts to contribute to public policy processes through the provision of high quality research.
- Identification of sources of policy oriented funding.
- Support in the preparation of proposals with policy elements
