Mission and Center Objectives

Mission

The mission of the Smart Spaces Center is to create innovative, practical, and cost-effective solutions to enable elders to age in place as long as possible, while maintaining a high quality of life.

Objectives

  • To conduct interdisciplinary research related to adaptive aging in place.
  • To involve students in research activities related to adaptive aging in place.
  • To translate Smart Spaces Center research into widespread practice to maximize social benefits.
