Telephone Interviewer Positions
The Survey Research Center is an organization that provides survey research services to Penn State faculty and administrative units. We continuously hire telephone interviewers to conduct academic research. Interviews are conducted using a computer-assisted telephone interviewing system. We do not sell anything or ask for any money, we only conduct academic survey research.
The interviewer position is paid $7.15/hour for approximately 8 hours of training, and then the wage moves up to $8.15/hour once interviewing begins (paid bi-weekly). The position is part-time and on-call, which means that we cannot promise work will always be available. Interviewer wages increase based on length of service.
Interviewers will be required to work a minimum of 12 hours/week, with a maximum of 35 hours. Each shift will be around 4 hours long and will be held on evenings (typically between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m.) and weekends (Saturday afternoons, and Sunday afternoons and evenings). We require 4 weekend shifts per month. We are currently accepting applications. Please bring completed applications to Marion Place, Suite 406, located at 135 East Nittany Ave (the brick building on the corner of East Nittany and Pugh St.) or fax them to 861-5439, attention: Kenn Davis. If you have any questions, please call 861-5922.
